Vintage: Dusty Green

I've been quite busy changing my interior. Some furniture leaves while others get a make over. It does take time since pinterest has made me quite picky. But I have found the perfect colour paint, in a small shop I've passed a thousand times already, thinking it had nothing to offer. 

Thrift shopping & selfmade tealights

So today I went to the local thrift shop, I was actually looking for something else but I didn't left empty handed. For 20 cents I had damaged candles and a planter with a yellow tone. The great thing about melting down candles is, you can do anything with it, give it your own colour by using crayons, (I used a bit of blue and green) and add a fragrence of your choice.

Handmade rose tea lights

Those who followed me for a while know I made a lot of tea lights and candles. Yesterday I started to try making rose shaped tea lights. I made roses with marzipan and fondant but this required an entirely different technique. Yet I managed to pull it off! I currently made 2 since it's just a lot of work and I used rose fragrances, thought that would be appropriate.

Refashion: Dye

As promised I have a few pictures of 1 of the current upcycle projects.
Quite funny how it started, I dyed my hair weeks ago and accidentally spilled some drops of hairdye on this white blouse. So I washed it several times with Vanish and everything but it refused to come out. So I just decided to dye half the blouse to recover the spots with hair dye as well. Well obviously, that worked out just fine.

Busy, busy busy

It has been a while since I've posted but I have my reasons. I've been busy with a lot, which is somehow a shame since I had a lot to post about.
One of the things that keeps me busy at the moment is my new facebook page: facebook.com/KellayDesigns. I recently did a photoshoot and worked a few days on illustrations to fill my facebook page.
